Frames from Our Weekend

by Landis Carey on September 13, 2011

Hi, friends! I’m a little late with this, but I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was totally low key — I was under the weather for a few days so I got lots of rest while hubby worked on his latest project. We indulged in movies, read books, and watched tennis and football. It was a nice, early fall weekend that wrapped up an all too busy summer.

I might have run myself a little ragged on Friday, using every ounce of energy I had to rearrange furniture and clean away the remnants of the warm season. Summer beach books were shelved and fall flowers were set out. Moving around a few pieces of furniture opened up our living room and provided storage where we needed it most: extra space for serving ware and table linens in the dining room and a landing area located halfway between our home’s front door and back.

Once finished, I promptly sat down with my recently-arrived copy of Design*Sponge at Home. I perused the pages and now have a fun list of décor ideas that I can’t wait to share.

Happy Tuesday, friends! XO

I love all your little nooks, that’s the best part of old homes. So much character!
