Hubby Picks

by Landis Carey on August 19, 2011

Hubby’s totally been into this new column and comes to me every few days with a new idea. This is his latest: reclaimed wood lining a wall or two in our home. I really love the idea! When asked why wood paneling, he responded, “it’s rich, natural, quiet, vintage and gives a space an indoors/outdoors feeling.” So, here are two images he agreed to, and I’m totally digging them! What do you think?

What is Hubby Picks, you wonder? It’s a column where Hubby gets to share his picks for our home, and because this is a blog, he can dream big: he can share out-of-budget items that he loves or décor he digs but would never be practical for our home. If you missed the first Hubby Picks, check it out!

My, that hubby of yours has excellent taste! ;)

I also love the reclaimed wood. Most of our floors are wide-plank reclaimed wood, as are the steps of our staircase (a crazy metal and wood spiral that was hand-welded by the building’s owner!)

Hope to see you both on the water soon…

Oh, the details of your place sounds wonderful, Melissa! Let’s figure out sailing dates, we would love that! XO
