Bea Johnson’s Zero Waste Home & Lifestyle

by Landis Carey on June 21, 2011

I first learned of Béa Johnson earlier this year while reading Sunset magazine on a flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I was so inspired in that moment that I vowed two things: one was to undertake the Living with Less project (as the beginning step in reducing our waste) and the other was to gift experience instead of things.

To take a step back from several recent conversations we’ve had here on Mint Peach—living without paper towels and napkins and opting for re-usable produce bags—and to clear any confusion, I wanted share with you my inspiration to live simply. Here she is…I want to be just like Béa when I grow up!

I’ve shared this video before on Re-Nest, but not here on Mint Peach, so I hope you take a moment to hear directly from Béa about her goals. Since she’s my inspiration, watching helps explain my intentions for Living Without and Living with Less in order to reduce our waste and simplify our home.
