Artfully Baking Beet Cake from Tiger in a Jar

by Landis Carey on June 1, 2011

The Beet Cake your about to see baked here is mostly the same as the coveted Red Velvet Cake I love to make from The Waldorf Astoria. But here the baking process is artfully captured in motion and the cake is sprinkled with powdered sugar instead of smeared with Mascarpone Cream Cheese Icing.┬áMake sure your computer’s sound is on when you watch this sweet video!

By the way, I’m slightly in love with Tiger in a Jar, the husband and wife duo who produced this video. I’ve just watched nearly all of their films on Vimeo.

Happy Sweet Wednesday, Friends!

What a wonderful video about baking. The way it was presented was so different than the typical cooking show versions. The powdered suger looked like snow falling. Since I love to bake, this little clip made my morning more special. Thanks for sharing it with all of your readers, especially the ones who love to cook!!!

I’m so glad you liked it! I, too, felt it made my morning special when I saw it yesterday. Their other videos, though not about food, are really fun, too!
