Re-Nest Posts

How is it already Friday? Time is flying by, which is great because warmer weather will be here before we know it, but it also means I must get serious about throwing pottery and sewing table linens for my upcoming sale on Sunday, June 5th. I’m taking part in the Maplewood South Orange Studio Tour, so send me happy pottery wishes this weekend; it’s what I’m up to.

I’ve been a busy bee this week at Re-Nest. It’s small spaces/organization month so I wanted to share a few fun posts from the week.

What’s the ultimate challenge of living small? How about Small Living in a 90 Square Foot NYC Microstudio. This woman is amazing! Talk about simplicity!

Right now I’m totally into adding rehabbed vintage pieces to our home. There’s a great new Etsy shop—ironically called Mint Home—I found and shared with Re-Nest readers. I’m loving their fabrics and color combinations!

This was the first week in several that I jumped back into my Living with Less project. I began on Tuesday with Project Update: Reader Suggestions, Questions and Comments and continued on later in the week by tackling our kitchen in Living with Less, Week 9: Kitchen, Dining and Serving Ware. This project has completely overhauled our home. It feels so great! I can’t wait to readdress the spaces I’ve already pared back for one final tweak!

Do you have a ton of books in storage? Maybe consider custom shelving to display your collection? Check out the post Small Space Storage Inspiration: Floor to Ceiling Books for a few ideas!

Are you thinking about Spring Cleaning this weekend? Here are 5 Feel-Good Chores to Get the Most Out Of Spring. Go on, read on, and get started; it’ll feel so good!

Tight on bedroom storage space? Double Your Storage by Using a Dresser as Your Nightstand.

I forgot to mention this last week, but if you’re thinking about a graywater system to keep your outdoor plants hydrated by using your home’s “safe” wastewater, read on for 10 Safety Tips for Handling Graywater.

I hope everyone has a loverly weekend! What’s on our agenda? I’ve been feeling a little under the weather so I plan on taking it easy while working on my pottery and table linens for the upcoming show. There’s also a little yard work to do; it’s time to remove all the dead plants from our outdoor planters, says my Mom. Happy Friday, Friends!
